Start your clay adventure at one of our
workshops exclusively for young people
When: Friday 20th February 2026
Join us for an exciting new collaboration with the Oswestry Youth Forum. Designed for young people, by young people, these workshops promise to be a fabulous creative opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and design and make amazing real clay-creations you are proud of. Workshops will be taught by skilled ceramicists who will help you get the most out of these sessions.
11 -14 years 10.30am - 12.30pm
BOOKING ESSENTIAL: Suitable for young people aged 11 to 14 years. On this session you will be using handbuilding techniques to make and decorate either a characterful phone speaker or a personalised mug. Both items will be fully useable when fired. Your creations will be ready to collect 3-4 weeks later.
15 -17 years 1.30pm - 3.30pm
BOOKING ESSENTIAL: Suitable for young people aged 15 to 17 years. On this session you will be get to spend time using a professional potter's wheel with expert tuition. You will be learning the foundation skills for making pots on a wheel and having a go at making bowls and other forms. You will choose your favourite pot to be fired and glazed which will be ready to collect 3-4 weeks later.
