6 Week Course - Ceramics For All
2.5 hour weekly sessions learning both handbuilding techniques and the basics of making on a potter' wheel
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm-8.30pm Cost: £165
All are welcome on this evening course designed to boost your clay-confidence, give you foundation skills and knowledge, and introduce you to the benefits of working with clay.
On this course you will follow our Claypit mini-projects and develop your own creative ideas with plenty of guidance from our excellent tutor. This course is very flexible to enable to make the things you want to make at your own pace. You will have the opportunity to learn a range of handbuilding techniques and the basics of throwing on a wheel. You can also learn to decorate your creations with our in-house glazes. You are welcome to take this course multiple times to grow your skills and confidence. Maximum class size of 8. Suitable for adults and children 11+ with an accompanying paying adult. Firing charges apply on this course. See below.
2024 Start dates: 5th and 7th November
2025 Start Dates: 7th and 9th January, 25th and 27th March, 29th April, 1st May, 3rd and 5th June
Firing Charges:
Only pay for what you chose to fire. Your creations will be weighed by us after firing and charged at £1.30 per 100g, payable by card on collection. An average size mug will cost around £3.50, bowl £5, jug £6, vase £7.
Missed Classes:
If you can't make a session we will do our best to offer you a replacement at a different time, depending on availability. Replacement sessions will be limited to one and must be taken during the same term.
