Discover the art of making on a potter's wheel with our 4-week beginners Throwing Essentials course. During the weekly 2.5hr sessions you will learn the fundamental skills needed to make, refine and decorate basic shapes on a wheel under the guidance of experienced tutor Rachel Swift.  You will have 4 pots glazed and fired for you ready to collect approximately 4 weeks later.  Additional pots can be fired for £10 each. Maximum group of 6 people. 

 

Week 1 - Learn the basics

Week 2  - Practice the basics

Week 3 - Make specific shapes - cylinders and bowls

Week 4 - Learn and practice the turning process, add carved decoration and handles
